Wassup? Yeah, my hair is long.

I quit retailjob.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tuesday was my last day and while I was sad to say goodbye to Dana and Carmella they will be around for a bit longer and it was a good job while it lasted but I am DONE and I DO NOT WORK THERE ANYMORE and I am 100% happy to just be a customer now wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I still work at sbux.

I love it. It is awesome. I mean, now I don't have retailjob to HATE HATE HATE so I am liking sbux a little bit less, but I still love my customers and coworkers, even though all the cool kids keep quitting. I've got probably at least another 6 months in me at that store, and heaven knows if I'll ever be able to move out and transfer. At the moment I am just concentrating on surviving full time school for awhile and saving money.

I start school tomorrow.

I am taking The English Novel, Medieval European history & Renaissance Literature. I am excited to learn things and Be In School, I am not excited to read my nine textbooks and do homework and write papers and also run the fuck across campus twice a day. Sigh.

I am ~~internet~~long-distance dating this really cool guy named Damien.

The distance totally sucks but he is awesome. Hee. When did this happen? Sometime in the last month. It is new and exciting and fun. Yeah. :)

I was invited to Portland Fashion Week as a photographer next week.

I really feel like every one of my list items should be followed by a gazillion exclamation points (and hearts, in the case of the previous point) but really now, this is incredibly exciting. It's because I Know Someone, as it were, and it's a huge opportunity, if anything for blogging and photography and awesome things, and I want to go, but need to figure out when it would be, and if I'm working or in school, and if I could get those days off. Sadly, I do not have my work schedule written down at the moment and don't work for the next 3 days. Dang. So I have to work that out like, tomorrow.

I (hopefully) get to see Mary this weekend.

Woo! I haven't seen the girl since January. I am totes excited.

I honestly can't think of anything moar. Any questions?!

So, yeah, the funeral went okay, the graveside was super hard, but good. It's kind of a relief that it's all over, but I feel awful for thinking that when my two cousins don't have a Mom anymore. :\

Here's an update on my family, since I know not everybody reads Livejournal.

My Aunt is ready to die. She's had this tumor for about 7 years now and it's putting enough pressure on her brainstem that she is essentially comatose with pain.

My Aunt & Uncle from Australia are here right now, and together with my Mom they're spending all of their time up in Mulino at my Aunt's house (Marlene has insisted from day 1 that she doesn't want to die in a hospital). We're near the end, just waiting. She's lost the ability to swallow, and you can hear her struggling for every breath. She doesn't really squeeze hands or acknowledge people anymore, which is probably for the best, since before this she was so out of it she'd hallucinate people being there, and freak out that she was "going to die" and get way too panicky for them to handle.

Her kids are currently at a friend's house, probably through the end of the week.

So... yeah. Waiting. It's hard, and I'm kind of far removed from it, since I'm not there, and I'm at work, but it's hard to watch the stress on my Mom. Yeah.

So that's what's up. It's super awesome to have Bob & Tina here, they're a great support and a great help and also lots of fun, even though things suck right now.

As of 3pm today, my Mom's little sister has passed away!

Okayokayokayokay so I'll post an update, since I suck at updating on here, though I doubt anyone on here who checks is seriously wondering how my life is going.

As a response: It's going very good, actually!

I've been working a lot and trying to get through Spanish (SPANISH) and also becoming completely engrossed and interested in my Medieval literature class. There's a part of me that's thinking about focusing/specializing/majoring in the medieval stuffs, like art and history or whatever, but that's a bit specific for someone who's response to "What would you like to do with your life?" is "DURRR, fingerpaint?".

So... we'll see. Heaven knows I have, what, like another YEAR of full-time studentry before I make any decisions like that?

Working at Starbucks is really amazing, I'm not going to lie. I have days where I hate it but 95% of the time I'm happy to go to work and I'm happy coming home. I still hate going to work, but I really do have a lot of fun there, and my coworkers are amazing. We only have a handful of strange/creepy customers, so there's really no worries there.

I still work at Marshalls 2 days a week, buuut that's kind of. I don't know, I'm kind of done. I probably won't quit (because I need the money and also I'm afraid of quitting and also I'm a pussy and WHO KNEW, RIGHT?!). I do love working there, and I love my coworkers there too, but I've just been totally exhausted lately what with work AND school and all of the family stress going on right now, so... yeah.

Hopefully I will be able to work more next term and be a slightly happier camper with the possibility of moving out someday? Someday? Gawsh, someone needs to move out/move back to Portland and be my roommate because THIS SUCKS. Or else, keep me in mind when you win the lottery and have a spare million lying about? I'd do the same for you, chappies.

Coming up in my life is that it's almost finals, Darcy and I watched movies this weekend, I get to go visit Jessica in what, April? And and and in May I am being visited by a certain someone who I am looking forward to seeing Very Much, which will be amazing. Not to mention out of my comfort zone, but who knew?

Also to mention I'm kind of thinking about trying to put together a Photo-Quest-Scavenger hunt in downtown Portland for when/if dear wombatprincess (my dearest flurbs) comes to visit next. Gio and I (Hi Gio!) talked about putting one together once and I still think it'd be super fun. But I did say that i wasn't going to organize things, but I'd like for us to have some sort of activity to do that doesn't involve 10 women walking around slowly and obnoxiously in WinCo. So maybe teams, and then splitting the teams into groups of 2, and then having meeting times or whatever and swapping? That sounds kind of complex, but it'd give us something to get done and also give us the chance for small-group experience (something we are SORELY lacking. Team plaid needs more EXP, baby!) so yeah, tell me what you think about that, or if you have any ideas. Lately all I've been able to come up with is sparks, but no flames, if that makes any sense.

So there's my monthly update! Hope everybody's doing well.

Heyyyyy... yeah. I haven't updated (well, at least on DJ) in a long time. (Long for ME.)

Does this even matter? I'm sure that by now people read my other blog. Oh wells, here is the scoop.

I am currently unemployed, which means I have A+ boredom. I had an interview on Monday (yay!) an interview today (yay!) and one on Thursday (yay!) and I am quite frankly tired of telling people how awesome I am. You'd think they would just hire me because I am so attractive, but nnooooooOOooo they want someone with "more experience", whatever the crap that means. Hey it is not my fault I only have limited Rocket Scientist experience! Let me drive your spaceship and I will ROCK YOUR WORLD.

But yeah. A+ boredom means I have started a few art projects. I totally just finished one, which is kind of amazing. I am v. v. happy with it (which is also astonishing).

Buuut yeah. In between watching X-Men 2 and Mortal Kombat, life has been pretty uneventful. I am sorta halfway babysitting for the nextdoor neighbor boy (who I am calling Conductor on the internet) who is adorable and is ABSOLUTELY Stewie from Madtv (in the sweetest and most adorable way ever. The sketch is funny, but at 6:20 it's absolutely things that Conductor would say... he's awesome!) But yeah. So I'm sometimes watching/playing trains with him, which is cool. He tires me out soooo much though, it's ridiculous.

Last weekend Mary, Savannah and I had a Prince of Persia Playing Party (alliteration!) which was AMAZING because Mary bought a ball for me to play with annnnd also we played VGs until like, 3am. We are also having a cookout or something for the 4th, which will be cool.

Angelina leaves for South Korea on July 15th and I am both excited and upset she's leaving so soon. Only 5 weeks, but it'll be good, it's an adventure for her and it'll remove some of the bottled-up pressure in our house. Oh, didn't I mention? Dad's unemployed, I'm unemployed, and Mom has lots of days off (her schedule is weird) so EVERYONE is home, ALL THE TIME. It is... driving me kind of insane. :C

Anyway, though. Life is good. I don't know if I mentioned it on here, but I do have a new fisheye camera that is really cool. I need to get the film developed so I can share it with everyone, it's pretty cool.

Okay, so I have to post that I had a dream that Missy had lied about being in Fiji, and was actually getting married.

Yeah.

Though, you know how in like, musicals and old movies, the ceremony is more like a choreographed dance than anything? She had like, a gazillion attendants and they all came down the stairs in these ballerina-dancey outfits and then she came down the stairs, COMPLETELY covered (like in a bhurka, or something) and then at the bottom of the stairs SPUN OUT and the burka swirled around her and she was wearing this huge, HUGE japanese-red-silk-inspired dress with a SQUARE HOOP SKIRT-THING that was ENORMOUS and TERRIFYINGLY UGLY and she was all radiant and glowy. Nobody else was there (from our group of friends at the wedding, there were loads of faceless relatives) just me and my mom and sister and I was pissed because she was supposed to be in Fiji, wtf?

Also, her fiance was TOTALLY fancy in the 'I'm not into girls' kind of way, IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.

And whoooooa. I was all, "Woman, why aren't you in Fiji?" And she was all, "Well, Reiko (who is my coworker/roommate) caught me and my fiance fooling around so we're getting married! *hee hee!*" and Reiko was all, "YEAH! She's my friend too!" and I was all, "NOOO I'M SO LEAVING YOU ARE RUINING YOUR LIFE" and it was like, you know those movies where the bride is chasing after ~~the love of her life~~ the ONE PERSON and they're all, 'NOOO. YOU ARE MAKING THE WRONG DECISION'.

IT WAS JUST LIKE THAT.

And I woke up totally pissed off at Missy.

Just thought I'd let you know. I really should stop getting my drink on before 11am.
